Born and raised in Maryland, Sofia’s journey into the world of visual storytelling began with a fascination for film photography and a love for the great outdoors. As her passion for capturing the essence of nature evolved, Sofia delved into the realms of both film and digital photography. Today, at 23 years old, she stands as a dedicated freelance photographer and videographer, calling the coastal beauty of Wilmington, North Carolina her creative home.

Drawing from her rich Chilean, Italian, and Croatian heritage, Sofia's worldview has expanded over the years through her engagement with diverse communities. Being bilingual in Spanish and English has not only fueled her curiosity in linguistics but has also emphasized the crucial role of communication in our globalized world. Sofia's early struggles with learning English as a child served as a catalyst for her passion in visual media, recognizing its seamless ability to transcend cultural and linguistic barriers.

Recently graduated cum laude from the University of North Carolina in December 2023, Sofia finds herself at the crossroads of various opportunities, eagerly anticipating the unfolding chapters of her future.
